Along with the urban renewal of downtown Lowell, NEO, Lowell's first professional chamber orchestra, aims to be a cultural destination that offers new, diverse musical programming. Founded by Kay George Roberts in 2004, NEO emphasizes a celebration of Hispanic, African, American, and Asian heritage in classical music.
